About the Role
Airbus Aerostructures is seeking an F&DT Stress Engineer for Fuselage (d/f/m) to support our engineering activities. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of all Airbus programs, including the A350XWB, A320 Family, and next-generation aircraft. As a vital member of our Structural Analysis Community, you will be responsible for performing calculations, technical approvals, and actively contributing to our digital transformation efforts. You will collaborate closely with design, production, and subcontracting partners.
This position also offers flexibility with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities
- Create and technically approve analysis models, F&DT calculations, reports, and studies for aircraft structures across multiple programs.
- Check and approve internally and externally created analysis data and documentation, and provide stress approval for drawing sets and technical documentation.
- Ensure strict adherence to airworthiness regulations, design principles, processes, methods, and manufacturing guidelines to guarantee structural integrity and safe operations.
- Technically monitor, guide, and support subcontracting firms in their structural analysis work.
- Validate relevant design inputs for manufacturing drawings and collaborate closely with design, project, manufacturing teams, production, and customer support.
- Define, interpret, and validate structural tests required for aircraft certification.
- Create, monitor, and report on project plans and performance metrics.
- Support the digital transformation within the structural analysis department through automation, tool simplification, and process redesign.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a similar field (or equivalent qualification).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in aviation engineering.
- Extensive experience in the development and F&DT analysis of aircraft structures (metallic and ideally composite).
- Ideally possess technical approval delegation (e.g., Airbus M1020) or have sufficient experience to obtain it swiftly.
- Proficiency in analytical calculation methods and deep knowledge of numerical calculations (Finite Element Modelling using Altair Hyperworks/Nastran, or similar).
- Solid knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python) and data analytics for process automation.
- Strong collaboration skills, ability to autonomously manage a small team, a growth mindset, curiosity, and adaptability.
- Negotiation-level fluency in English (written and spoken).
