Finance Business Partner

The Role:

This is a role that is out of the ordinary, providing expert financial insight and support across key defence contracts. You will have the exciting opportunity to influence decision-making, enhance financial performance, and contribute to shaping the future of a complex and dynamic programme.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Delivering accurate financial forecasting, budgeting, and KPI reporting.
  • Partnering with operational teams to provide clear financial insight and influence decisions.
  • Analysing complex financial data and translating it into actionable recommendations.
  • Supporting contract performance through robust financial control and reporting.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and value.

This role is full-time, 36 hours per week (Monday to Thursday), and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting within a commercial or contract environment.
  • Proven ability to business partner with non-finance stakeholders and influence outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting complex financial data.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems experience.
  • Experience in a large, complex, or regulated environment such as defence, engineering, or infrastructure is desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.
