Handover Coordinator at Babcock - Plymouth

Join Babcock at our Devonport Royal Dockyard site as a Handover Coordinator, playing a vital role within our Major Infrastructure Projects team. You will support the delivery of significant dock, berth, and building infrastructure programmes essential for ship and submarine sustainment. This is a unique opportunity to advance your career in a complex, highly regulated industry, gaining exposure to major defence infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the project handover process to ensure all activities are completed in a controlled and auditable manner.
  • Support the handover of buildings, systems, and assets to end users, including the preparation of handover documentation and certificates.
  • Produce and maintain handover files, reservation lists, reports, and lifetime records throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Arrange and facilitate commissioning and handover meetings, recording actions and outcomes as required.
  • Manage commissioning and handover documentation, ensuring information is controlled, appropriately classified, and stored within relevant document management systems.

About You:

We are looking for individuals with proven experience in handover coordination or document control, ideally within an ISO 9001 accredited or equivalent quality management system. Several years of experience in a similar role within construction, infrastructure, or a related industry is essential, along with strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. You should possess the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications: NVQ or City & Guilds qualification within the Engineering or Construction industry.

Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be a sole UK National and able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance.

Location: Plymouth, Devon with hybrid working arrangements.

Role Type: Full time / Permanent, 35 hours per week.

Compensation: Starting from £25,431 + Benefits.
