We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Corporate Real Estate to lead our UK Estates function from our Farnborough site. The Role
As the Head of Corporate Real Estate, you will be responsible for overseeing 40 sites across the UK, encompassing a strategic mix of owned and leased facilities, as well as the management of an MOD facility and third-party estates. You will act as a proactive and strategic leader, adept at delving into operational details and liaising effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage professional surveying expertise to extract high-level insights from complex data, providing a single version of truth for the estate and establishing decision-making timelines to ensure timely actions and meet key dates.
- Provide critical metrics for portfolio strategy and commercial narratives to inform leadership decision-making.
- Deliver portfolio rationalisation and optimisation initiatives to maximise utilisation and Return on Investment (ROI) throughout the property lifecycle.
- Appoint and direct external agents and third-party providers to manage service delivery, including business rates, valuations, disposals and acquisitions, lease renewals, and management lettings.
Essential Experience:
- Proven track record of delivering professional standards and establishing effective team structures within fast-paced corporate environments.
- Excellence in board-level reporting, persuasive negotiation, and high-stakes presentation.
- Ability to effectively leverage data analytics tools to drive evidence-based property decisions.
- Highly developed interpersonal and presentational skills, capable of translating technical real estate risks into commercial business opportunities.
Essential Qualifications:
- MRICS/FRICS qualified with extensive post-qualification experience in managing complex commercial portfolios.
- Appropriate Degree in Estate / Property Management or a related discipline.
- Chartered Surveyor with substantial post-qualification experience, specialising in commercial asset management.
