Head of Mobilisation
At Cavendish Nuclear, we are committed to creating a safe and secure world. We are seeking a Head of Mobilisation to join our team at the Hinkley Point C site in Bridgwater, Somerset. This role is part of the MEH Alliance, working on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project, integrating and coordinating the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling, and associated support services. This collaborative approach ensures different contractors function as a single entity to deliver complex installations within the power station's extensive network.
As a Head of Mobilisation, you will lead the end-to-end mobilization of major programmes and contracts, ensuring projects transition seamlessly from concept to operational delivery. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will shape mobilization strategy, drive cross-functional collaboration, and ensure operational readiness across a complex engineering programme.
This is a full-time, permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week, based at our Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading mobilization activities across multiple programmes to ensure successful and timely delivery.
- Driving mobilization strategies, governance, and planning frameworks across projects.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve operational readiness and performance targets.
- Managing risks, resources, and stakeholder engagement throughout mobilization phases.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Essential Experience:
- Demonstrating leadership experience within programme delivery, mobilization, or project management environments.
- Managing complex, large-scale projects within engineering, defence, or infrastructure sectors.
- Driving stakeholder engagement across senior internal and external partners.
- Applying strong governance, risk management, and delivery frameworks.
- Leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline.
- Project or programme management qualification such as Association for Project Management or equivalent (desirable).
Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
