Head of Site - Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire

At Babcock, we are dedicated to creating a safe and secure world. We are seeking an experienced Head of Site to join our team at Ashchurch, near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital leadership role in ensuring our teams deliver exceptional support to the British Army through world-class maintenance, repair, and overhaul services.

About the Role

As the Head of Site, you will be instrumental in shaping a high-performance culture and unifying operational teams under a clear vision. Your influence will directly impact the delivery of vehicle equipment outputs that are essential to national defence capability. This full-time, permanent position is based on site at Ashchurch and involves 37 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop large operational teams to achieve People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cash, and Cost (PSQDCC) targets.
  • Provide cohesive and visible leadership to integrate various functions into a unified Operational Management team.
  • Oversee the delivery of production outputs for Army vehicle equipment, managing both internal and external partners.
  • Build and nurture a strong, positive, high-performance culture aligned with Babcock Principles.
  • Strengthen stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective collaboration with customers and partners.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience leading large teams in complex operational environments.
  • Strong understanding of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) business models, processes, and performance delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience managing customer relationships across multi-stakeholder settings.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities, complemented by financial, commercial, and performance management expertise.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance. Eligibility may be affected by factors such as place of birth, nationality, and residency.
