About Airbus Logistik GmbH

Airbus Logistik GmbH, founded in 2021, is a vital part of Airbus's sustainable aerospace mission, providing logistical support for aircraft component supply to Airbus assembly lines for the A320 program. We manage the receiving, storage, dispatch, and transportation of components for assembly lines in Hamburg, Tianjin (China), Mobile (USA), and Toulouse (France).

We are currently looking for motivated individuals to join us in Hamburg as a Head of Warehousing at our Am Genter Ufer location.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Disciplinary leadership and personnel planning for your team.
  • Control and monitoring of staff deployment and established workflows for both commercial and technical employees.
  • Steering and supervision of the proper and timely execution of assigned tasks.
  • Acting as a point of contact for issue resolution and interface problem clarification.
  • Creation, implementation, and control of operational instructions.
  • Documentation of errors and malfunctions.
  • Initiating, conducting, and monitoring corrective actions for any irregularities.
  • Ensuring timely information flow to supervisors.
  • Planning and conducting training, briefings, and inductions.
  • Process optimization and improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting operational management in area leadership and project execution.

Your Profile:

  • Completed vocational training as a specialist in warehouse logistics or a similar qualification.
  • Further training as a logistics master is an advantage.
  • Several years of professional experience as a manager with responsibility for more than 20 employees.
  • IT skills in material management systems, especially SAP and MS Office, as well as Google Workspace.
  • Knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken, is beneficial.
  • Resilience, assertiveness, affinity for key figures, organizational talent, reliability, and customer orientation.

This position is classified under the IG Metall wage agreement for contract logistics, specifically at wage level 8.
