Role Description
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing the technical infrastructure to support the entire solution.
- Producing all supporting designs for inclusion in the Low-Level Design (LLD) and configuring the solution.
- Building, commissioning, and accepting the technical solution.
- Delivering a coherent and technically integrated solution in line with requirements.
- Running, supporting, and attending all appropriate workshops and meetings.
- Managing the Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensuring the timely delivery of all items.
- Supervising the installation and commissioning of the infrastructure, including relevant subcontractors.
- Updating and managing the BOM with approved changes and updated technical specifications.
- Managing stakeholders as it pertains to the infrastructure design.
Essential Requirements
- Campus networking experience including design, build, and configuration (typical vendors include Dell, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Arista).
- Detailed knowledge of IP networking, DNS, routing, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Experience in network design and familiarity with domain control, including Active Directory (AD), DNS, and NPS.
- Experience with virtual servers and networking using technologies such as VMWare and Proxmox.
- Ability to analyse and understand existing designs and requirements.
- Experience handling physical hardware in environments supporting rack build, networking, and troubleshooting.
