About Us:

At the Airbus Helicopters Drone Center, born from the merger of Survey Copter and Airbus Helicopters, we design, manufacture, and maintain light tactical drone systems for military and civilian missions. We cover the entire lifecycle of these systems, offering you the opportunity to contribute to technological and concrete projects.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of the Airbus group since 2011, we are the drone expertise center for Airbus Helicopters, located in Pierrelatte (our parent company) and Aix les Milles. What We Can Accomplish Together:

At our Aix en Provence site, within the Design Office department, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing critical software components (manual code or model-based).
  • Analyzing functional and mission requirements.
  • Designing new systems and tools (conceiving new concepts and updating/monitoring existing designs).
  • Performing simulations (predictive simulations for prototyping, offline simulation, pilot-driven simulation, full flight simulators).
  • Verifying through simulation and on real equipment.
  • Fine-tuning flight control laws on simulators and in flight.
  • Validating, verifying, and certifying systems.
  • Participating in innovation projects related to drone projects.

You will also be involved in:

  • Interfacing with project management, purchasing, sales, and other project stakeholders within the organization.
  • Acting as the interface for supplier and customer management.
  • Supporting integration bench, ground, and flight system testing.

This position requires a security clearance or eligibility for a clearance by recognized authorities.

Who You Are:

With an engineering degree specializing in automation, electro-technics, and aeronautical engineering, you have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in the industry.

What We Recognize in You:

  • In-depth knowledge in the design, development, engineering, and/or integration of flight control and/or radio-navigation systems for aircraft (including drones).
  • Knowledge of embedded software development standards (e.g., DO-178) and safety analysis (e.g., ARP4754).
  • Proficiency with design tools (Scade / Matlab) and simulation tools.
  • Experience with flight control systems (2 to 5 years).
  • Professional English proficiency.
  • Strong communication, open-mindedness, and adaptability to work in an agile and complex environment.
