Role Overview
An opportunity exists for an Initial Provisioning Engineer to join Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Madrid. You will be part of the Provisioning Data team within the Combat perimeter, playing a direct role in significant defense programs such as Eurofighter, Eurodrone, SiRTAP, and FCAS. This position serves as a key logistics liaison in an international and collaborative setting, engaging directly with national and international customers, suppliers, and engineering stakeholders.
Based within Customer Services, you will collaborate closely with core areas including Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), Technical Publications, and Ground Support Equipment (AGE/GSE) teams, as well as Engineering, Production, Configuration, and Program Management.
Responsibilities
- IP Data Creation: Author Initial Provisioning (IP) Data for both On-Aircraft Equipment and Ground Support Equipment (AGE/GSE) using available technical documentation (DRL & EAPF) in strict accordance with ASD 2000M specifications and EPS-SSPs procedures.
- Configuration Management: Update and maintain configuration accuracy within the Configuration Management System (CMS).
- Logistics Systems Input: Process and inject IP data into the dedicated logistics system (STILO).
- IPL Lifecycle Management: Draft, create, and issue Initial Provisioning List (IPL) messages in Draft and Master versions. Review and respond to customer queries/observations on Draft IPLs, generate Consolidated Observations Lists (COL), and deliver the finalized Formal IPL version.
Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
- Experience: At least 5 years in a similar role.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for international engagement, a detail-oriented approach with high accuracy, excellent teamwork abilities in a cross-functional and multicultural environment, and a proactive problem-solving attitude.
- Languages: Advanced level in Spanish & English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Nationality: Spanish Nationality is mandatory due to security clearance requirements for Spanish Eyes Only defense programs.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of ASD S2000M specifications is required; familiarity with S1000D/S3000L is a plus. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, Technical Publications, and LSA data. Experience with Configuration Management Systems (CMS) and logistics tools (e.g., STILO) is essential.
- Valuable: Understanding of ASD 2000M (Version 6.1) international specification and EPS-SSPs procedures, advanced Microsoft Access skills, practical experience with Airbus corporate tools (CMS, STILO, SAP), and insight into Customer Support and Supportability disciplines for complex defense systems.
