The Role
As an Instrumentation Technician within the Land Installation team, you will play a crucial role in supporting trails and ensuring the safety of our Shoeburyness site. This 37-hour per week, fully on-site position involves participating in trials as part of a team, operating installation equipment, and gaining new skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up and preparing ranges in accordance with relevant documentation.
- Ensuring robust application of Health, Safety & Environmental procedures and processes.
- Carrying out duties in a safe and compliant manner.
- Ensuring compliance with Risk Assessments and Task instructions.
- Performing general duties as a QinetiQ member of staff.
- Maintaining core module skills and training, such as manual handling.
Essential Experience:
- Proven ability to solve problems effectively.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety principles.
- Ability to work according to set processes.
- Experience working both as part of a team and independently.
- Hands-on experience with work equipment and hand tools.
- Essential computer and IT literacy.
Essential Qualifications:
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good standard of GCSE-level mathematics.
