About the Role

Join BAE Systems as an Integration Lead Engineer in Warton and play a pivotal role in pioneering progress and protecting what matters most. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of all Domain & Requirements Mission Systems Engineering activities, contributing to the advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace, and security solutions of tomorrow.

Core Duties

  • Manage Agile planning, tasking, and reporting processes.
  • Lead the technical delivery of Technology Development activities undertaken by strategic partners.
  • Support Quality & Performance Improvement initiatives within the Sensing & Non-Kinetic Effects Team (SANKE).
  • Oversee Sensing & Non-Kinetic Effect System Design/development, encompassing areas such as Mission Data, Mission Management, Through Life Support, Safety-Airworthiness, Security, Interoperation, and Engineering & Test.
  • Lead the Sensing & Non-Kinetic Effects Integration team, with direct responsibility for two team members.
  • Cultivate and maintain key relationships with strategic partners involved in international and national programmes.

The Mission Systems Delivery Team

You will be an integral part of the Mission Systems Delivery Team (MSDT), contributing to the Assessment Phase of the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) programme. This team utilizes an agile work planning process to develop mission system concept options, architectures, and designs for various components of a future combat air system.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven systems/integration engineering and engineering lifecycle experience.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering methods and tools (e.g., UML/SysML, MoDAF, MOOD, Matlab).
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing engineering teams.
