About the Role
At QinetiQ, we are shaping the future of defence technology and innovation. We are looking for an IT Project Manager to join our UK Enterprise Services function. In this role, you will manage the delivery of tasks and standard projects, focusing on the FinOps discipline to achieve defined business and customer benefits.
You will be responsible for managing risks and dependencies, and delivering technology projects that support critical defence capabilities. A key aspect of this role is ensuring strict compliance with all security, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Delivery: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and schedules.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with Defence Digital, MOD Representatives, Military personnel, Suppliers, and Internal delivery teams.
- Risk and Dependency Management: Proactively identify, escalate, and manage critical risks and project blockers.
- Team Coordination: Liaise closely with Infrastructure engineers, Cyber Security specialists, Software developers, and Architects to ensure smooth project execution.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in IT, with a background encompassing both Software and Hardware projects.
- Good working knowledge of Project Management principles aligned with industry standards.
- Demonstrated experience in Resource Management and Financial Management.
- Successful track record of delivering projects to agreed timelines and deadlines.
Essential Qualifications
- An industry-recognised Project Management qualification such as Prince2, APMP, or PMP.
