About the Role

As an IT Systems Lead at Babcock, you will play a crucial role in driving digital transformation within the defence engineering sector. You will be at the forefront of digital transformation within Babcock Naval Nuclear, responsible for developing strategies, managing complex IT systems, and delivering innovative solutions that support critical defence programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing digital strategies and roadmaps aligned with programme objectives.
  • Representing the programme in client and internal meetings.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance digital delivery and ensuring governance and documentation are in place.
  • Overseeing daily support for digital engineering tools, applications, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinating with corporate IT and stakeholders to ensure effective planning and delivery.

Essential Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing complex IT systems, infrastructure, and enterprise platforms.
  • Expertise in IT governance, service management (ITSM), and compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies, system integration, and digital transformation.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s or professional certifications preferred).

Security Clearance Requirement

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national and able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Eligibility for this role may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.

Working Arrangements

This role is full-time, 35 hours per week, and offers hybrid working arrangements across Bristol and Leicester locations.
