Lead Software Test Engineer - Hawthorn, Corsham (Hybrid)

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end software development lifecycle, focusing on the design, planning, execution, and assurance of the New Management System (NMS). This system serves as the management platform for operating satellites critical to national security.
You will collaborate closely with the Software Architect and Lead Software Engineer, working within an Agile environment to deliver software systems to demanding timescales across multiple project phases. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a team of Software Engineering resources to ensure timely delivery of work packages.
- Creating and reviewing Test Plans and Test Scripts based on User Stories, Business Requirements, and System Requirements.
- Assisting in defining the test process for system delivery.
- Identifying and defining appropriate tooling for system testing.
- Contributing to team activities, including hands-on manual and automated testing, ensuring repeatable and verifiable test records.
- Documenting and defining guidelines, such as the Software Delivery Plan.
- Contributing to product design, updates, and improvements.
- Analyzing data and tracking metrics to ensure optimal solution performance.
This is a full-time, permanent position (37 hours per week) based in Hawthorn, Corsham, with the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements.
Essential Experience:
- Proven hands-on experience with C#.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team of any size.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Please note that eligibility for certain roles may be affected by place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and residency status.
