About the Role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a LEAN Management Leader (m/f/d) to join the Performance & Improvement department in Toulouse, France. You will be part of a team dedicated to developing LEAN/Continuous Improvement initiatives and will contribute to the deployment of the Airbus Operating System (AOS) to enhance the Operational Performance of the A350 Final Assembly Line (FAL).

Your Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for piloting the AOS/Lean approach within the P30/P18 production unit of the A350 FAL. Key responsibilities include:

  • Deploying AOS within the P30/P18 unit to continuously improve industrial maturity.
  • Piloting and supporting the AOS approach, and driving the deployment of necessary AOS components for unit performance in close collaboration with the AOS team.
  • Applying and ensuring adherence to AOS and Lean standards.
  • Monthly evaluation of AOS maturity evolution across the unit's different lines and organizing annual AOS assessments.
  • Reporting on maturity progress and risks, and preparing/co-animating AOS steering meetings.
  • Initiating and participating in management observation visits, providing structured feedback.
  • Leading or coaching improvement workshops or projects, defining optimal solutions aligned with Lean principles and the FAL's digital strategy, and assisting with workshop deployment.
  • Accompanying the change management process and mindset shift during AOS implementation.
  • Coaching and advising unit managers and production line leaders on AOS & Lean tools and methods.
  • Supporting managers (Team Leaders, Operating Leaders, Unit leaders, and support function managers) in managing change and understanding the AOS system to improve line performance and implement Autonomous Production Teams (EAP).

Your Profile

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 5 to 10 years of professional experience, possessing the following key skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Lean tools.
  • Experience with quality tools, problem-solving, and process optimization (Lean / Six Sigma, Green Belt or equivalent).
  • Experience in facilitating or actively participating in Just-In-Time production workshops such as Kaizen, Hoshin Kanri, VSM, 5S, etc.
  • Ability to detect resistance to change and propose counter-actions to improve buy-in.
  • Proficiency in performance management.
  • Effective communication skills with large groups, delivering concise and simple messages.
  • Understanding of fundamental coaching principles.
  • Pragmatic, hands-on approach, with a constant drive to propose, convince, and promote change, innovation, and improvement.
  • Imagination and pedagogical skills to help operational staff adopt Lean management tools.
  • Fluent in French (read, written, spoken); intermediate English (read, written, spoken) is a plus.
