Licensed Aircraft Engineer
Babcock is seeking a skilled Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join our team at RAF Cosford, near Albrighton, Wolverhampton. In this vital role, you will ensure aircraft are maintained to the highest safety and regulatory standards, directly contributing to operational readiness and mission success. Role Responsibilities:
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in line with regulatory requirements.
- Certify work completed in accordance with Part 145 or equivalent approvals.
- Diagnose faults and completing repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are recorded accurately and in compliance with standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and performance.
This is a full-time, permanent role based on site at RAF Cosford. The position involves a 40-hour work week, including weekends. Travel to other Babcock and customer sites may be required.
Essential Experience:
- Demonstrated experience working in a regulated aviation maintenance environment.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
- Relevant type ratings or experience across similar aircraft platforms.
- Effective teamwork and high attention to detail.
- Clear communication with stakeholders to meet operational requirements.
Qualifications:
- EASA Part 66 License (or UK CAA equivalent) is essential.
- Type rating(s) on relevant aircraft are desirable.
- Human Factors and EWIS training are desirable.
Successful candidates must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance.
