Aircraft Manager (Gestionnaire d'aéronefs) - MRTT Fleet

Airbus Defence and Space has an opening for an Aircraft Manager for the French Air Force's MRTT aircraft fleet, located at the Istres military base in France. This role is part of the MRO network organisation based in Madrid, Spain, but will be deployed on client sites in France.

As the Aircraft Manager for the French Air Force's MRTT fleet, you will be responsible for managing, coordinating, monitoring, customer relationship management, and risk management related to the maintenance work of the MRTT aircrafts performed at the client's site (Istres) or at the facilities of the main subcontractors (Nîmes).

Main Activities:

Working within a team, your specific missions will include supervising the performance and certification of maintenance (scheduled and unscheduled) of the MRTT aircraft in a customer service environment. The position requires supervision of mechanics (licensed or unlicensed) and subcontractor personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and management of offers.
  • Preparation and anticipation of maintenance work.
  • Achieving target costs with the required quality level.
  • Review and monitoring of planning, including definition of recovery plans and rescheduling if necessary.
  • On-site customer relationship management (planning progress, Q&A, general questions, etc.).
  • Risk management and finalization of documentation in accordance with company and client procedures.

You may be designated as the main contact point (Focal Point) and ADS responsible during maintenance activities. The successful candidate will join the Services department and must demonstrate flexibility for necessary travel for maintenance activities and working groups.

Missions and Responsibilities:

With the primary mission of directing maintenance work, the candidate will be responsible for the management, coordination, and certification of maintenance (scheduled and unscheduled) of the A330MRTT aircraft within the framework of ADS's MRO network organisation. The candidate will follow ADS procedures for working group activities regarding management, responsibilities, documentation, and certification.

Required Skills:

  • Training in Aeronautical Maintenance.
  • EASA Category 'C' license authorized for the A330.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in maintenance work.
  • Proficiency in French.
  • Advanced English level.
  • Availability for multi-site work (Istres and Nîmes).
