// Role Specification

Become part of our surface protection team in Hamburg-Finkenwerder as a Painter (m/f/d) for the A320, A321 XLR, A330, and A350 programs at Airbus Aerostructures GmbH.

At Airbus Aerostructures GmbH, you, as a Painter (m/f/d) in the surface protection department, will give the empty fuselage segments in structural assembly and in the equipment assembly halls of the A320, A321 XLR, A330, and A350 programs the decisive protection in our modern paint shops under the highest safety standards.

Your Daily Flight Plan

In our state-of-the-art paint shops, you are the expert for perfect surface protection under the highest safety standards:

  • Preparation: You will independently assemble your tools and materials and plan your daily workflow.
  • Coating & Protection: Under full protective gear, you will clean and activate surfaces. You will precisely apply paint systems, adhesives, waxes, and sealants using brushes, spray guns, or caulking guns.
  • Quality Assurance: You will conscientiously check your work, perform rework or repairs, and hand over the perfectly preserved segment to equipment assembly.

Your Boarding Pass

Do you bring the following? Then you fit perfectly into our crew:

  • Qualification: Completed apprenticeship as a Painter (m/f/d) or Mechanical Technician (m/f/d) for Coating Technology.
  • Experience: Several years of professional experience in aircraft construction or a comparable industrial environment.
  • Spatial Flexibility: You have no problem venturing into tighter angles of the aircraft fuselage. Where others become claustrophobic, you remain relaxed – a bit like a cave explorer, but with a paint gun and top equipment.
  • Team Spirit & Quality: You enjoy working in self-organized teams and impress with a high level of quality and safety awareness.
  • Technology & Languages: You have no problem working with a PC. You speak fluent German and have solid basic knowledge of English.
  • Shift Availability: Work in a 2- or 3-shift system (in a 5-day work week) fits well with your expectations.
