About the Role
A Lockheed Martin Apprenticeship is your pathway to becoming a highly skilled Electrical and Mechanical Assembly Technician. This role offers comprehensive training in a supportive environment.
The training will cover:
- A comprehensive range of Electrical assembly techniques.
- Interpreting drawings and working from written instructions.
- Use of hand tools, and measuring and test equipment.
- Liaising with Engineering and manufacturing team leaders to improve electrical assembly methods and design.
- Utilizing problem-solving techniques to address process-related issues.
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet deliverable commitment timelines.
- Experience with 6 ‘S’ principles and lean manufacturing / continuous improvement tools and techniques.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
- GCSE's 9-4 or A*-C in English and Maths AND Minimum of 2x A-Levels to include Maths/Physics OR Completed Level 3 Extended Diploma in an Engineering related discipline.
- Possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a desire to learn new skills.
- Technical / hands-on interests or hobbies are highly desirable – please include these on your CV.
- An interest in electrical assembly, demonstrated through practical experience or study.
