About the Role

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Test Engineer to optimise team performance and resource utilisation.
- Apply safety, quality, and environmental policies during all commissioning tasks.
- Review engineering documentation and contribute to cross-disciplinary problem-solving.
- Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to manage risks and meet commissioning goals.
- Conduct mechanical testing, calibration, and commissioning activities on submarine systems.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in mechanical commissioning and testing.
- Ability to work autonomously and solve complex technical challenges.
- Strong understanding of safety and quality standards in engineering environments.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and engaging with stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- A recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or an HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent with relevant experience).
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 36 hours per week on site at HMNB Clyde, Faslane. Shift patterns apply and include a 35% shift allowance.
