Mechanical Trade Supervisor - HMNB Clyde Faslane

This role is out of the ordinary, placing you in a pivotal leadership position within our Fleet Engineering team. You will be responsible for delivering complex mechanical work packages that are crucial for the operational readiness of the Royal Navy. This is a unique opportunity to lead skilled teams through technically challenging projects, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of engineering activities within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and supervising multi-skilled teams to safely deliver mechanical engineering work packages.
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating tasks to ensure delivery against safety, cost, quality, and time targets.
- Producing and reviewing technical documentation, such as work scopes and method statements.
- Managing subcontractors and collaborating with internal stakeholders to support project delivery.
- Promoting a strong safety, quality, and continuous improvement culture across all activities.
About You:
- Demonstrable experience in mechanical engineering within an industrial or engineering environment.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Experience in planning and coordinating engineering work packages.
- A strong understanding of safety, quality, and operational performance standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
Qualifications:
- HNC or HND in a mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent.
This role is full-time, 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday. The position is based on site at HMNB Clyde Faslane.
