Role Overview: Avionic Supervisor
The Avionic Supervisor will be a key part of our Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organisation. Reporting to an Operations Lead, this role involves direct control, oversight, and mentoring of technicians, ensuring established process adherence, accurate work recording, and contractual/regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to a small group of aircraft technicians.
- Supervise, plan, sequence, distribute, and control technical work.
- Ensure the standards and certification of all associated aircraft paperwork are completed IAW company procedures.
- Deliver aircraft maintenance under Boeing's MAA MRP Part 145 approval or the MOD customer's approval.
- Perform assembly, disassembly, modification, and replacement of aircraft components.
- Troubleshoot complex aircraft systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical/electronic) and repair faulty components IAW authorised maintenance documents.
- Provide advice, guidance, and mentoring to peers and others.
- Mitigate immediate risks and escalate emerging issues and shortfalls.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Exercise 100% oversight and mentoring of Boeing Apprentices or Trainees where directed.
- Contribute positively to an open and honest reporting culture.
- Achieve company supervisory authorisations on relevant aircraft types and independent inspections.
- Adopt a collaborative approach and model Airmanship, Husbandry, and H&S practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven technical knowledge and ability to supervise aircraft maintenance activities.
- Good communication skills for distributing and sequencing technical work requirements.
- Ability to control demanding workloads and deliver to a high standard while maintaining schedule.
- Capability to understand and interpret technical documents, drawings, and publications.
- Working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part 145, Aviation Quality Assurance (QA), and Safety Management System (SMS).
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Must hold or be able to obtain company supervisory authorisations on the aircraft type.
- Requires the ability to obtain a UK security clearance (SC).
Preferred Qualifications
- Recognised relevant trade apprenticeship or equivalent trade experience.
- Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and processes (Human Factors, FOD control, tool control, health & safety & COSHH).
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to be an effective team member within an inclusive company culture.

This is a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not provide immigration and labour sponsorship.
