Role Overview
Airbus Defence & Space is looking for a Deputy Security Officer specializing in sensitive projects and transversal support to join their Industrial and Defence Security department in Toulouse, France. You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to safeguarding Airbus Defence & Space personnel, assets, information, and reputation in Toulouse from malicious actions.
Your Responsibilities
As a key support to the Establishment Security Officer (OSE), the Deputy Security Officer (OSA) for transversal or sensitive projects will ensure the high-quality and timely execution of complex and long-term dossiers. You will collaborate daily with other security bureaus (Defence, Access/Operations) and leverage their expertise.
- Monitoring Sensitive Projects:
- Track 'Restricted Diffusion' themes and projects.
- Monitor the 'National Scientific and Technical Potential' theme.
- Manage security aspects of confidential business projects, personnel, and information protection from negotiation to export/firing campaign phases.
- Monitoring Transversal Projects:
- Assist the OSE in investigations and monitoring incidents on our sites or against personnel.
- Track and report to the OSE on security projects involving other bureaus (Defence, Access, Operations).
- Support crisis management (backup for OSE, monitoring security crisis management dossiers, reference sheets, notes, involvement of state and governmental actors).
- Maintain security dossiers (e.g., security force intervention plans, specific protection plans).
- Monitor the security business continuity plan.
- Oversee security for firing campaigns.
- Accreditation of security IT systems: track the accreditation of approximately a dozen IT systems for which security is the owner during their initial accreditation (DR) or maintenance.
- Handle any dossiers requested by the OSE, particularly those not exclusively falling under a single security bureau. This includes monitoring and evolving security devices/equipment (e.g., new access control deployment, VMS changes, hypervisor, video surveillance), security contractor tenders, site development impacts on security, security liaison for ISDP direction (space management and sensitive project locations), and monitoring of our 'CA.DI.VS' networks and IT systems (access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance).
- General Service Support:
- Monitor awareness campaigns.
- Track regulatory texts, security processes, practical security guides, and responses to internal client requests.
- Propose and draft security directives with support from various bureaus.
- Monitor internal KPIs and conduct on-site or documentary checks of security prescription adherence.
- Ensure GDPR compliance.
As a Security Officer, you must be able to engage and provide support on any other security topic, including defence, access, and operations security. You may also be required to undertake firing campaigns, involving deployment to overseas departments and territories or abroad for periods of 2 to 8 weeks.
Your Profile
- Experienced professional in the security domain.
- Proven ability to manage and track multiple projects concurrently.
- Capacity to interface with clients, institutions, or ministries, including in English.
- Ability to handle incidents and tensions.
- Adaptability, rigor, anticipation, a global approach, and strong listening skills.
- Good knowledge of defence and security regulations (e.g., IGI1300, IGI6600).
- Good knowledge of IT system accreditation, IT security, and networks would be a significant asset.
This position requires a security and defence clearance from recognized authorities and the ability to access "special France" information. The successful candidate must complete mandatory CISIA training from the DGA and obtain security officer accreditation from the DRSD.
