Pipefitter Supervisor - Rosyth, Fife

At Babcock, we are dedicated to creating a safe and secure world. We are seeking a motivated Pipe Fitter Production Supervisor to join our team at the Rosyth site. This is a full-time, permanent position contributing to critical shipbuilding and engineering work.

As a Pipefitter Supervisor, you will be instrumental in leading and inspiring a team of skilled tradespeople. This hands-on leadership role requires you to directly influence safety, performance, and the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and motivating teams to safely deliver defined packages of pipe fitting and production work.
  • Managing resources effectively to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets across various projects.
  • Ensuring the implementation and adherence to safe systems of work, maintaining a compliant and secure working environment.
  • Setting daily production targets and diligently monitoring performance to foster continuous improvement.
  • Taking ownership of operational activities, ensuring consistent standards and behaviours are met.

This is a full-time role, working 36 hours per week from Monday to Thursday, based on-site at our Rosyth facility.

Essential Experience:

  • Demonstrated strong experience in pipe fitting.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical installation drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Experience using digital tools, such as Microsoft Office, for reporting and planning.
  • Practical knowledge of production environments within engineering, marine, or heavy industry settings.
  • Proven experience in overseeing or guiding teams within a production or workshop environment.

Qualifications:

  • Time-served pipe fitting apprenticeship or equivalent significant and recent, relevant experience.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Please note that eligibility for roles may be affected by factors such as place of birth, nationality, citizenship, and residency.
