As a Portfolio Manager supporting a Technology Transfer service into Poland, you will play a crucial role across the entire investment lifecycle, from initial requirements definition through to operational handover. Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, you will be instrumental in building strong, collaborative relationships with functions, sites, and stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include leading the integration of internal delivery efforts, managing customer-facing partnerships, and providing clear, regular reporting on programme status and financial performance to senior leadership.
Core Duties:
- Lead and deliver key work packages within the Programme, ensuring alignment with portfolio objectives and business priorities.
- Assume responsibility for end-to-end delivery, maintaining accountability for schedule, technical, financial, and quality outcomes.
- Build and maintain significant customer and supplier relationships, managing expectations through consistent communication.
- Plan and manage financial performance, achieving targets for orders, sales, margins, and cash flow.
- Liaise with key internal stakeholders across various functions, ensuring accurate reporting and forward planning using business tools.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A degree qualification (or equivalent experience) with proven project delivery experience in engineering or manufacturing environments, including the defence sector.
- Formal project management training (e.g., APM, PMI, PRINCE) with experience using tools such as MS Project, Predict!, or SAP.
- A solid understanding of project management practices, with an awareness of commercial, financial, and cross-functional considerations.
- Demonstrated success in delivering programmes to time, cost, and quality, with effective management of risks and opportunities.
Location and Working Arrangements:
This role is based at our Glascoed site (preferable), Radway Green, or Washington, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite. Travel to the UK and Poland will be required when necessary.
