Internship in Production/Composites at Airbus Helicopters

Are you looking for an internship to gain experience in helicopter component manufacturing? Airbus Helicopters in Donauwörth is seeking an intern (m/f/d) to join the Composites department. In this role, you will contribute to the production of single parts for civilian and military helicopters, as well as the Airbus A350, utilizing Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) and Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP).

You will support the manufacturing management team with various projects and tasks, gaining a full understanding of the production environment and its challenges. This is a full-time internship, 35 hours per week with flexible working hours (Gleitzeit).

Your Location

Based in Donauwörth, on the banks of the Danube near Augsburg, we develop helicopters from initial concept to flight-ready product. Experience their take-off and landing on our own test flight field.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing management and various project groups.
  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze plant downtimes and identify optimization potential.
  • Provide organizational support for various projects.
  • Create graphics, tables, minutes, and presentation materials.
  • Conduct technical and economic investigations for the creation of training materials.
  • Introduce new techniques and media.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled student (m/f/d) in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
  • Previous practical experience in an industrial environment is advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Independent, meticulous, and reliable working style.
  • Team spirit, strong communication skills, and results-orientation.
  • Fluent German and proficient English language skills.
