Role Description
This role involves the critical tasks of reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and finalising contracts and commercial agreements with both customers and suppliers. You will also be responsible for providing comprehensive contract management support, encompassing contract administration, managing changes, contract configuration, and contract closure.
A high degree of customer focus is essential, requiring you to develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to manage, develop, and mentor junior members of the commercial team.

- Possess experience in drafting, writing, and negotiating contracts.
- Show demonstrable client/customer relationship management skills, with the ability to forge strong working relationships.
- Exhibit the ability to present effectively in senior management forums.
The Commercial Team
As a member of the Commercial Team within Integrated Combat Systems, you will work cross-functionally with various teams, including Project Management, Engineering, Technical Specialists, and Supply Chain, as well as directly with the customer. Your primary role will be to support contact preparations, negotiation, bidding, writing and drafting, configuring, and managing of contracts.
Career development is fully supported within the team, offering opportunities to progress to management level. Skillset development is encouraged through further education and recognised training, facilitating lateral moves within the wider BAE business. Relocation support packages are available for eligible candidates for Submarines roles.
