Problem Manager - Stoke Gifford, Bristol (Hybrid)
Babcock is seeking a dedicated Problem Manager to join our team in Stoke Gifford, Bristol. This is an opportunity to contribute to projects that help create a safer world by strengthening the reliability, resilience, and performance of Babcock’s digital services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze incident trends and service data to identify problems and recurring issues.
- Liaise with service desks, infrastructure teams, and key stakeholders to support best practice processes, including ITIL and ISO20000.
- Investigate root causes and evaluate potential solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Own the problem management lifecycle, ensuring procedures are followed from identification to resolution.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions and drive continuous improvement.
This is a full-time, permanent position. The role is based in Stoke Gifford, Bristol, with hybrid working arrangements available, including three days a week onsite. Working hours are 7.5 hours Monday to Thursday and 5 hours on Friday.
Essential Experience:
- Strong analytical skills with experience across the full system development lifecycle (waterfall, agile, etc.).
- Proven background in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving (8D preferred).
- Experience producing clear written reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Good understanding of business processes and information management principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Qualifications:
- Degree in IT, project/programme management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- ITIL v4 certified (ideally Practitioner level for Problem Management).
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National and able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
