Rolls-Royce is seeking a dedicated Product Support Engineer for our Rail division. In this role, you will report to the Supervisor, Site Team Leader, or Team Leader, depending on the specific organisational structure. Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and support routine maintenance and repairs on mtu rail products according to approved manuals and contract requirements.
  • Perform preventative, scheduled maintenance, and/or corrective maintenance activities in line with maintenance schedules, manuals, and contracts.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities for both maintenance processes and general suggestions for enhancement.
  • Conduct planned maintenance tasks as per operating instructions.
  • Attend and participate in necessary customer meetings to obtain sign-off for completed work on customer equipment.
  • Undertake complex fault finding and repair when required, utilising appropriate technical information such as technical drawings and fault-finding guides.
  • Complete relevant documentation accurately for all work carried out to record activities for both the company and the customer.
  • Proactively involve yourself in the Company’s HSQE (Health, Safety, Quality, Environment) management processes.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of onsite facilities.
  • Attend local and factory training courses as necessary to ensure skills remain current.
  • Participate in 24/7 shift working, including callouts, as required.
  • Work as a mobile engineer, with a company van provided.
  • Undertake any other related activities reasonably required, such as covering work in another depot.
  • Accurately report parts used during service work as per internal processes to ensure effective stock control and accountability.
  • Make effective use of IT systems including Go!Care, C4S, eWeb, Go!Manage, Go, Diasys, and Outlook.

Position Qualifications:

  • From an Engineering background.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or Equivalent qualification.
  • A self-starter who works safely and methodically.
  • Outstanding safety awareness.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and email.
  • On-the-job training will be provided for SAP, MTU Business Portal.

  • Strong organising skills and a flexible attitude.
  • Ability to work well with others.
