About the Role
Join Babcock as a Production Manager at our Donnington site in Telford, Shropshire, and play a crucial role in supporting the Land sector's operational output. You will be responsible for ensuring production plans are delivered safely, efficiently, and to target, managing operational resources, and controlling spend.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage operational teams and support the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to offboarding.
- Allocate and prioritize resources to meet production plans on time and within agreed constraints.
- Monitor and control spend against delivery requirements.
- Make effective decisions based on available information and operational needs.
- Drive performance, maintain safe working practices, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to lead and manage individuals and teams.
- Comfort in challenging and holding difficult conversations when required.
- Strong decision-making skills using available data and judgement.
- Experience managing allocated budgets.
- Ability to prioritize effectively with limited resources.
Qualifications
- Educated to Level 4 within the National Qualification Framework (HNC, Higher Apprenticeship, Level 4 NVQ or equivalent experience).
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance.
