// Key Responsibilities

  • Forecast global customer demand for new and repaired spare parts.
  • Utilize statistical and deterministic methods for forecasting.
  • Manage technical events like Service Bulletins and obsolescence.
  • Define stock levels and production/repair workshop load plans.
  • Collaborate with internal interfaces and subsidiaries.

// Role Specification

Join Airbus Helicopters and contribute to shaping the future of aeronautics and protecting lives with our helicopters. The Marignane site, a major industrial hub near Marseille and Aix-en-Provence, offers a high-tech, inclusive, and environmentally conscious work environment.

Your Role: Program Forecast Officer

Within the Support & Services Directorate, the Material Support & Logistics (MS&L) organization ensures the delivery of all spare parts and repair solutions for our clients' missions. With manufacturing and repair lead times of several months, anticipating needs is key to maintaining stock and resources to avoid client waiting times.

You will join the team responsible for forecasting global customer needs for new and repaired spare parts. Considering Airbus Helicopters' approximately 13,000 operational aircraft, each with numerous repairable and non-repairable parts, your forecasting will be critical.

As the Program Forecast Officer for a specific fleet, you will predict programmed departures, potential failures, and the new parts required by operators over the next five years. You will learn and apply statistical or deterministic methods, manage technical events (Service Bulletin, Retrofit, Obsolescence), and define optimal forecast levels.

Your forecasts will directly impact:

  • Dimensioning stocks and logistics flows to meet parts availability commitments.
  • Defining load plans for internal production and repair workshops, as well as external suppliers and repairers.

Accurate forecasting of new and repaired parts is essential for customer satisfaction, stock control, resource management, and overall company profitability. You will drive continuous improvement, pilot your performance, propose improvements, and work on diverse projects. Collaboration with various stakeholders is key to understanding client missions, technical limitations, parts reliability, and supply chain challenges.

Your Main Missions:

  • Select the most appropriate forecasting methodology and calculate repair and new part needs for each reference in your fleet.
  • Ensure technical events (Service Bulletin, Retrofit, configuration changes, maturity plans, etc.) are correctly integrated into your hypotheses.
  • Share your estimations with internal interfaces and subsidiary representatives.
  • Monitor the performance of your forecasts by comparing calculations with actual consumptions and propose improvement plans.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects.
  • Prepare quarterly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) reviews for strategic decision-making by top management.

Your Profile:

  • Strong data analysis and synthesis skills.
  • Knowledge of forecasting models or understanding of statistics and probability.
  • Interest in helicopter operation and maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of logistics and supply chain.
  • Project management skills.
  • Advanced English proficiency (for transnational team collaboration and international subsidiary interaction).
  • Rigorous, reliable, and organized.
  • Curious and analytical.
  • Agile and proactive with strong proposal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to build trusting relationships, and teamwork capabilities.
