The Role: Programme Manager, Mission Rehearsal
We are seeking a dynamic Programme Manager to join our Mission Rehearsal team. In this pivotal role, you will hold full responsibility and accountability for the delivery of the programme's vision. You will be instrumental in shaping and structuring programmes, encompassing integrated planning, budget and cost control, risk and issue management, stakeholder engagement, commercial management, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure resource capacity planning, coordinate dependencies, resolve issues proactively, and identify programme benefits.
- Collaborate with the Portfolio Office to maintain programme controls and provide accurate performance information.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage programme-level risks and issues.
- Evaluate project performance within the programme to understand RAG status through performance reporting.
- Engage, influence, and collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to secure ongoing commitment.
- Lead pre and post-contract discussions to define project scope and work with the Commercial function to navigate contractual obligations.
Essential Experience:
- Typically 10 years of experience as a recognised expert in leading programmes within project teams.
- In-depth knowledge of programme management across the full project lifecycle.
- Extensive experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project and SAP.
Essential Qualifications:
- APM PMQ, PMI PgMP, or AIPM CPPD.

Location and Working Arrangements:
This role is based at our Bristol or Boscombe Down sites, working 37 hours per week. A minimum average site attendance of three days per week is required, with specific attendance on Tuesdays at Boscombe Down and Wednesdays at Bristol.
