As a Project Engineer, you will have a truly out of the ordinary role, taking responsibility for the successful delivery of construction and infrastructure projects across the Rosyth site. You will collaborate closely with contractors, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest possible standards. This position provides extensive exposure to the entire project lifecycle, offering a prime opportunity to expand your technical, commercial, and project management capabilities while contributing to programmes that safeguard the UK.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects through their full lifecycle, encompassing planning, procurement, site delivery, and final handover.
  • Coordinate contractors and site activities within a live operational environment, proactively resolving challenges and maintaining project momentum.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and risks to guarantee successful delivery outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and CDM regulations through rigorous inspections, reviews, and robust project controls.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, providing consistent and clear communication throughout the project delivery phases.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 37 hours per week, based on site at Rosyth.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience in delivering construction or infrastructure projects within engineering, industrial, or facilities environments.
  • Strong capabilities in contractor management and site coordination.
  • A solid understanding of health and safety legislation, with specific knowledge of CDM 2015.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception through to completion and handover.
  • Experience utilizing project management tools for budget, schedule, and risk management.

Qualifications:

  • HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or an equivalent health and safety qualification.
  • IEMA Introduction to Environmental Awareness or a similar environmental qualification.
  • Willingness to work towards APM Practitioner level project management accreditation.
  • A Degree in Engineering or a related discipline is considered desirable.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Please note that eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held, due to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
