About the Role
Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a motivated Project Management Office (PMO) Manager to join the Programme Instantiation and Roll out team within End-to-End Process, Methods, Tools and Data (E2E PMTD) in Air Power. This role is crucial for leading scope prioritization, budget, and resource management within a strategic Air Power portfolio.
Your Responsibilities
- Oversee and drive the operational planning (OP), maintaining a consistent and transparent baseline/forecast for the AP Extended PMTD Team.
- Manage budget steering and alignment between resource demand and availability across customer programs.
- Own and orchestrate the Operational Planning (OP) process in line with funding entities, ensuring alignment and incorporating OP targets from AP Finance, including budget tracking and quarterly forecast cycles.
- Ensure budget governance and monthly financial controlling in accordance with ADS finance/controlling rules, providing transparency on budget consumption and financial status.
- Act as the integration layer to ensure coherence across budget (OP), resources, and available planning, identifying gaps and enabling scope prioritization when funding or capacity constraints jeopardize commitments.
- Align OP with relevant funding entities and stakeholders to secure transparency on commitments, constraints, and required trade-offs, including alignment with other divisions (ACA, Commercial) through Intergroup Agreement.
- Coordinate resource demand and capacity alignment with contributing functions and tools (e.g., MyWL+).
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Degree-level education in Engineering.
- Previous experience in leading projects or as a PMO Manager.
- Airbus PM Certification is desired.
- Experience in managing/working with the IBP process including Operational planning (OP), Estimated at Completion (EAC) and financial cycles.
- Familiarity with Finance processes and concepts.
- Experience in managing risks and opportunities.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work across functions and influence stakeholders.
- Experience in standard resource management tools (e.g., MyWL+) is desired.
- Experience in standard reporting tools (e.g., Qlik, Looker Studio) is desired.
- Experience in using the Airbus ARM tool for risk and opportunity management.
- Experience working in international teams and environments.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
