Project Manager Construction - Rosyth, Fife

As a Project Manager Construction at our Rosyth site, you will play a crucial role in supporting national security through the delivery of major infrastructure, construction, and refurbishment projects within a technically complex and highly regulated environment.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of critical defence infrastructure projects. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards. This role offers significant career development within a leading UK engineering organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of construction, infrastructure, and refurbishment projects from planning through to completion.
  • Manage site activities, subcontractors, resources, materials, and quality assurance processes.
  • Establish project governance, including reporting, planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Act as the primary interface between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal delivery teams.
  • Drive a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety, Security, Environmental, and Quality requirements.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience delivering construction or infrastructure projects across the full project lifecycle.
  • Strong experience managing site-based construction activities, subcontractors, and quality control processes.
  • Experience working within complex or regulated environments, with a focus on governance, risk management, and reporting.
  • Demonstrable experience managing project budgets, schedules, and commercial performance, including contract administration (NEC, JCT, or FIDIC contracts).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification.
  • Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) qualification or equivalent health and safety certification.
  • Recognised Project Management qualification such as Association for Project Management (APM) or equivalent.
  • Membership (or working towards) of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIOB, RICS, CIBSE) is desirable.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance.

This is a full-time, permanent role based at our Rosyth site, 37 hours per week.
