About the Role

Space Systems offers some of the most challenging and interesting projects within Airbus. These projects require a strong and experienced project team capable of mastering the diverse tasks in this dynamic and complex project environment. We are looking for an experienced PMO Lead (d/m/f) to strengthen the German PMO Team and ensure robust and reactive project management for our project perimeter.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Support the PM in all project management activities.
  • Act as the interface to the customer and program functions.
  • Be responsible for the Project Management Plan and its consistent implementation across all levels of the program.
  • Coordinate Schedule Management, including WPM, EVM, preparation and execution of Schedule Control Boards, and alignment with the AIT Schedule.
  • Coordinate Risk & Opportunity Management, including ERM, managing the R&O Register (ARM, WYSIT), the R&O Action Register, and tracking mitigation actions. Prepare and conduct Risk Reviews and Risk Control Boards.
  • Coordinate SRA and Monte-Carlo analysis in close cooperation with the Project Integrated Planning Manager and the R&O Manager.
  • Proactively identify and track Risks & Opportunities.
  • Consistently track project progress and implement suitable visualization methods and early-warning systems.
  • Define adequate KPIs and TCOs to enable early anticipation and data-based decisions.
  • Support internal and external PM audits.
  • Prepare project reports in various formats for both internal and external customers as input for MPRs and MBRs.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and Maturity Gates.
  • Provide support for Change and Claim Management.
  • Support improvement initiatives for the project.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experienced PM or PMO Manager. PM/PMO certification or equivalent proof is desirable (PMP).
  • Completed studies in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Leadership experience in project work as a PMO or PM.
  • Experience in Integrated Planning, Risks and Opportunities Management, and Financial Controlling.
  • Excellent communication and moderation skills.
  • Ability to work and persuade at eye level with different functions. Conflict management skills.
  • Experience in collaborating with and leading international teams in an international project environment.
  • Fluent German language skills.
