About the Role
We are seeking a Project Planner to join our Programme Management team at our Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. This role offers a 4xFlex working pattern, comprising a 4-day working week (Monday - Thursday) and hybrid working arrangements. Onsite work is required on Mondays and Tuesdays, with Wednesdays and Thursdays typically worked remotely, subject to business needs.
You will be instrumental in supporting the entire planning lifecycle, from initial proposal stages through to execution, contributing to the delivery of some of the UK's most intricate and innovative engineering programmes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Maintain the end-to-end lifecycle of planning and schedule management to support programme capture and execution.
- Support proposal preparation planning, including the development of planning artefacts for solicitation responses.
- Act as the programme's planning integrator, interfacing with programme management, senior management, and the contractual customer.
- Support the validation of cost and schedule integration for effective programme performance management.
- Support the vertical and horizontal integration between all schedules and other program artefacts, ensuring compliance with Lockheed Martin's command media.
- Support the modelling and measurement techniques to integrate risks and opportunities with the schedule and cost baseline.
- Support the resolution of schedule conflicts, and develop and implement work-around strategies and tactical alternatives.
- Utilise performance and health metrics to communicate actions to the programme team, driving improved programme performance.
- Maintain and provide status updates of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Support the maintenance of the Performance Measurement Baseline.
- Support the Project Business Rhythm.
- Support the generation of Schedule Information for client and management reviews.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Experience as a Project Planner, Project Coordinator, or in a similar PMO/Planning role.
- A confident individual committed to upholding best planning practices, even under occasional pressure.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new tools, systems, and processes.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with Primavera P6.
- Experience with SAP cost planning & reporting.
- Background in Defence, MoD, or other complex engineering environments.
