About the Role

Join BAE Systems as a Quality Engineer and play a pivotal role in ensuring that programme quality requirements are consistently met across all stages of the product lifecycle. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in quality within a manufacturing environment, including exposure to non-conformance management, auditing, and verification and validation processes.

Core Duties

  • Ensuring program quality requirements are met through all aspects of the product lifecycle.
  • Taking responsibility for the resolution of quality issues through the structured application of problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Acting as the primary focal point for customer quality concerns, including investigating and writing detailed failure and repair reports.
  • Supporting customer and regulatory audits to ensure compliance to contractual flow downs and sector accreditations.
  • Working with key stakeholders to achieve project and organizational goals.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives within projects and across operations to support the strategic goals of the site.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience within a Quality Engineering environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Quality Systems requirements.
  • HNC or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
