The Internal Audits and Investigations department manages internal audits for Airbus Defence and Space Quality Management System (QMS) certifications, and civil/military approvals for Production and Maintenance Organisations. This department is accountable for the end-to-end management of business and quality audits.

About the Role

As a Full Time Auditor based at the Airbus site in Immenstaad, you will contribute to shaping technological innovations in areas like Connected Intelligence, Space, and Air Power. You will work within a dynamic environment alongside experts in satellite technology, military aviation, cyber security, AI, and more, collaborating in agile teams on complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Audit Lead and the National Audit Manager in an international setting.
  • Perform Business and Quality Audits as Lead Auditor to support the deployment of the Divisions’ annual audit program.
  • Be responsible for the on-quality and on-time planning, preparation, execution, and follow-up of assigned Business and Quality Audits, in close coordination with the National Audit Manager and audited functions.
  • Establish and allocate non-conformities on-quality and on-time to responsible Action Plan Leaders, ensuring their completion.
  • Support Business and Quality Audit projects, as well as the preparation, execution, and follow-up of external Certification and Approval Audits.
  • Interface at all levels within Airbus Defence and Space (Domain Owners, Operational areas, Heads of Quality Departments, etc.) to gain a firm understanding of the Divisions’ setup, organization, and business.
  • Identify gaps and risks and drive their resolution, thus having an impact on the organization.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and process- and goal-oriented team player with strong communication skills across all hierarchical levels. While being a qualified Internal Auditor with knowledge of Business Management Systems and QMS Standards (e.g., ISO 9001, EN 9100) is a plus, it can be balanced by other skills like project management or operational/quality experience. A strong understanding of the Divisions’ setup and business is beneficial.

Required Experience:

  • Several years of experience in quality management.
  • A deeper understanding of the Airbus Defence and Space Business Management System (BMS) is expected.
  • Knowledge of the EN 9100 standard and the basic processes and standards required for certifications and approvals.
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or maintenance facilities is required.
