About the Role
Are you ready to be part of the future? At QinetiQ, we are creating tomorrow's defence technology today. As a Radar Trials - Data Analyst based at our Funtington site, you will contribute to cutting-edge projects, working alongside brilliant minds to empower and protect lives.
This role is integral to our T3E contract with the MOD, focusing on radar cross-section (RCS) measurement capability. You will participate in specialised trials across the UK and Europe, aimed at enhancing platform protection against radar threats through signature management and the use of radar countermeasures.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day activities will involve a blend of data analysis and radar signature trials operations. You will be a key member of the QinetiQ RCS measurement team and may also be deployed on board Royal Navy warships. Additionally, the role encompasses supporting the development of RCS analysis tools, RF propagation models, and advanced analytics.
- Data analysis and reporting of RCS signature trials.
- Deployment as a member of the trial delivery team, potentially on board RN platforms to operate carry-on-board equipment.
- Comprehensive data management.
- Providing technical support to investment and customer projects.
- Supporting the delivery into service of new RCS measurement and analysis capabilities.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience in Data Analysis.
- A strong understanding of Physics (electromagnetism), Mathematics, and Statistics.
- Proficiency in IT, including word processors, spreadsheets, and databases.
- A degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- A full driving licence.
- Excellent written, oral, and communication skills.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within a Defence/Armed Forces background.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Digital Signal Processing, and Data science.
- Experience in the operation of instrumentation/measurement systems and equipment.

Work Environment
This is a full-time role (37 hours per week) based at Funtington. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites is expected.
