Recruitment Advisor
QinetiQ is seeking a dedicated Recruitment Advisor to manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities for the UKI business area. This role also involves coordinating contingent worker processes and contractor governance, ensuring all hiring is efficient, compliant, and meets agreed service standards. You will maintain operational oversight of onboarding readiness through Day 30 stabilization.
Key Accountabilities
- UKI Permanent Recruitment Delivery: Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for assigned UKI portfolios, supporting hiring managers from requisition approval through to offer and onboarding stabilization. Coordinate SLAs for CV review, interview scheduling, and feedback, escalating any blockers or non-compliance. Support recruitment reporting and dashboard accuracy.
- Contingent Workforce & Contractor Coordination: Coordinate contractor and contingent worker hiring in line with agreed governance processes. Support accurate IR35 documentation and process compliance. Liaise with Supply Chain, hiring managers, and suppliers regarding contractor onboarding and extensions, escalating process risks or delays as needed. Maintain accurate contractor process records.
- Onboarding Oversight: Maintain visibility of onboarding readiness (IT, vetting, access, and manager preparedness). Conduct Day 30 onboarding check-ins for critical hires and escalate any delays or operational issues to the Recruitment & Onboarding Manager. Support a consistent candidate and hiring manager onboarding experience.
- Data & System Discipline: Ensure high-quality requisition intake data and maintain accurate recruitment and contractor records within agreed systems. Support reporting accuracy through disciplined system usage and maintain recruitment documentation in line with audit and compliance requirements.
Key Relationships:
You will work closely with the Recruitment & Onboarding Manager, UKI Hiring Managers, Supply Chain/Procurement, HR Business Partners, Security & IT, Group Reward, Onboarding Operations Team, RPO/MSP providers, recruitment agencies, and contractor intermediaries.
Key Capabilities/Knowledge:
- Good understanding of UK employment legislation and the IR35 framework.
- Operational understanding of contractor vs SOW models.
- Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and process discipline.
- Ability to manage multiple recruitment activities simultaneously.
- Good judgement and escalation awareness.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Recruitment or talent acquisition experience within a complex or regulated environment.
- Experience coordinating recruitment activity across multiple stakeholders.
- Experience supporting contractor or contingent workforce processes is desirable.
- Experience using recruitment or HR systems.
Locations: Farnborough, Salisbury, Portsmouth, or Malvern (three days per week on-site required).
