About the Role
At QinetiQ, we are building the future of defence and security. As a Resource Manager at our Shoeburyness site, you will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects and trials. You will coordinate the effective utilisation of people, facilities, and equipment within a dynamic engineering and testing environment.
Your role will involve balancing competing priorities and providing clear visibility of resource availability, thereby maximising operational efficiency and supporting overall business performance. You will work with some of the most brilliant minds in the industry on cutting-edge defence technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and maintain workforce, facility, and equipment schedules to support project and trial delivery.
- Manage competing resource demands and resolve scheduling conflicts across operational and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Facility Managers, and stakeholders to align resource availability with business priorities.
- Monitor resource availability, maintenance activities, and workforce capacity to minimise delivery disruption.
- Produce utilisation, capacity, and planning reports to support operational decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement of resource planning processes, tools, and ways of working.
About You
We are looking for individuals with strong stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing and challenging at all levels of the organisation. You should have a proven ability to manage competing priorities and resolve resource conflicts in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage complex schedules are essential. Strong IT literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, supported by strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, are also required.

Location and Hours
This role is based at our Shoeburyness site and involves 37 hours per week, with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.

The site focuses on Environmental Testing, including the evaluation of various ordnance, explosives, and related systems, while implementing measures to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and minimise ecological impact.
