Security Officer Role at Ashchurch
At Babcock, we are committed to creating a safe and secure world. We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our growing business unit within Mission Systems at our Ashchurch site in Tewkesbury. This role is pivotal in providing essential, around-the-clock security cover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing staff and visitors of policy and procedures.
- Deter trespassers and maintain a secure environment.
- Compile comprehensive reports by recording observations, information, incidents, and surveillance activities.
- Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises.
- Maintain the environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
- Secure premises through regular patrolling, monitoring surveillance equipment, and inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, permitting entry as required.
- Obtain assistance by sounding alarms and marshalling personnel during emergencies.
Role Details:
This is a full-time, permanent position working 42 hours per week. The role operates on a shift pattern: 4 working days, 4 days off, 4 working nights, 4 days off.
Experience and Qualifications:

Security Clearance Requirement:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
