The Role
As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will provide technical leadership for cloud engineering projects and programmes, enabling secure, scalable, and mission-critical cloud capabilities. You will collaborate closely with project managers, support bid development, and deliver robust cloud solutions. Responsibilities include leading project teams, mentoring junior staff, developing technical designs, and applying future technology developments to solve customer problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams and guide junior staff in delivering solutions for new and existing customers.
- Provide technical leadership for programme, project, and bidding activities.
- Support the technical development of cloud staff and assist with resourcing decisions.
- Develop design certifications, technical delivery plans, high-level and detailed design documentation, and testing schedules.
- Understand market requirements and future technology developments, applying them to technical solutions.
- Perform complex engineering assignments, developing creative and practical solutions to customer challenges.
Essential Experience:
- Previous experience as a Cloud Engineer with strong knowledge of AWS cloud services.
- Ability to develop and manage infrastructure as code (Terraform).
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, or managing technical delivery teams.
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and communicate effectively with non-technical audiences.
- Previous experience working within Agile Delivery environments.
- Proven experience delivering cloud projects end-to-end.
Location and Working Hours:
This role is based at any of our main sites, including Malvern, and involves 37 hours per week with hybrid working patterns available.
