About the Role
As a Senior Digital Engineer at Babcock, you will play a crucial role in delivering advanced digital engineering and computer-aided design (CAD) solutions that support some of the UK's most critical infrastructure programmes. This position offers the chance to be at the forefront of digital transformation, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to enhance how complex projects are designed, managed, and delivered.
In this role, you will take a leading position in digital engineering delivery, ensuring high-quality information management, robust data processes, and effective digital collaboration across complex engineering programmes. You will influence standards, support the wider engineering community, and contribute to innovative solutions that make a significant impact on national infrastructure and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee digital engineering data environments, including Autodesk Vault systems.
- Deliver high-quality asset data, digital models, and engineering information outputs across projects.
- Implement digital engineering standards, clash detection processes, and design coordination rules.
- Review and approve models, drawings, and deliverables to ensure quality and compliance.
- Support project teams, contribute to bids and tenders, and provide technical guidance to digital engineering colleagues.
Essential Experience
- Demonstrable experience delivering complex 3D computer-aided design projects.
- Strong data management and information governance experience within engineering environments.
- Experience developing and maintaining engineering procedures, standards, and processes.
- Proven expertise using Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault.
- Experience working within highly regulated sectors such as nuclear, defence, aerospace, or similarly complex industries.
Qualifications
- Qualified by experience with significant digital engineering and computer-aided design expertise.
