Senior Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Designer
Cavendish Nuclear is seeking a Senior Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Designer to join their team, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the UK's nuclear innovation. This permanent, full-time role is based in either Warrington, Cheshire or Preston, Lancashire, with a hybrid working arrangement.
As a Senior EC&I Designer, you will provide essential support and technical guidance to a team of designers, ensuring the quality of design output meets required standards throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to in-service support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer specialist technical advice and design governance, ensuring adherence to technical standards and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Allocate tasks to designers, check their outputs, and ensure coordination across disciplines and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Support customer engagement, resolving technical and delivery challenges while building strong relationships to facilitate business development.
- Contribute to design production, including drawings for basic, detailed, and production stages, and assist in resolving manufacturing and installation queries.
- Lead low-risk multi-discipline projects, develop innovative design solutions, and remain updated on industry developments, tools, and techniques.
Requirements:
- Experience in a detailed design environment.
- Good knowledge of CAD tools.
- Knowledge of General Engineering Drawing Practice.
- Minimum HNC/HND in a relevant discipline or equivalent academic qualification.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance.
