About the Role
Join BAE Systems as a Senior Engineer focusing on Hydraulic Power Systems, a crucial part of our Flight Systems Department. You will be instrumental in the design, development, integration, testing, and certification of hydraulic power and other aircraft flight systems throughout their entire lifecycle. This role operates within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, requiring you to develop innovative engineering solutions while ensuring adherence to stringent safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and issue Flight Systems engineering data in compliance with project requirements, standards, and procedures, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets are met.
- Collaborate effectively with other engineering and project areas to devise and implement robust engineering solutions.
- Plan, execute, and guide engineering tasks based on the lifecycle phase, which may include requirements development, system and equipment design, modeling and analysis, system integration, qualification and certification, physical and simulated testing, and safety case delivery.
- Drive new systems development by applying best practice systems lifecycle processes across integration, safety, and test disciplines.
- Provide essential guidance and support to developing team members, fostering knowledge sharing, expertise, and best practice dissemination.
About You
We are looking for candidates with a strong background in systems engineering and a comprehensive understanding of the engineering lifecycle. Previous experience in designing, developing, and supporting Systems products is highly desirable. Your expertise in Mechanical or Fluid Systems Engineering, preferably within an aerospace context or a similar technology-focused, safety-critical industry, will be key. Candidates should possess an HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering, Maths, or Physics, or demonstrate equivalent relevant experience.
