About the Role

As a Senior Integrated Product Support Engineer based in Ashton Vale, Bristol, you'll be instrumental in advancing naval defence technology. This role is a full-time, permanent position within our Mission Systems team, offering hybrid working arrangements.
Your Responsibilities
You will play a vital role at the heart of cutting-edge Weapons Handling and Launch System programmes, supporting the Royal Navy and international customers with advanced engineering solutions. This is an opportunity to apply your expertise across the full lifecycle of complex defence systems, ensuring they remain effective, supportable, and mission-ready.
Day-to-day, your responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including attendance at Project Meetings, to support the delivery of all Integrated Product Support (IPS) Products.
- Managing project delivery against time, cost, and quality targets in accordance with the Project Schedule, reporting any variances to the Project Manager and Engineering Manager.
- Identifying and recording all IPS-related risks (hardware and software) in the project Risk Register and contributing to the determination of mitigating actions.
- Acting as a peer reviewer for all IPS Reports and liaising with the Chief Engineer for the assurance aspects of all published reports.
- Supporting the Integrated Product Support Manager and/or Engineering Manager, potentially acting as the Integrated Product Support Manager deputy, representing the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) function internally and externally.
- Providing guidance and reviews to peers and subordinates.
Essential Experience
You should possess:
- A good understanding of cross-domain and cross-boundary requirements development and interface control.
- Experience in determining and managing stakeholder requirements, life cycle tailoring, verification, validation, and transition to operation.
- An understanding of accreditation processes for COTS and bespoke software.
Qualifications
A HNC/HND within engineering or equivalent relevant experience is required.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role and must be a Sole UK National.
