The role
As a Senior Planner, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering critical defence and nuclear infrastructure projects that support the UK's national security.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Developing, implementing and maintaining project structures including Work Breakdown Structures, Organisational Breakdown Structures, Resource Breakdown Structures and Cost Breakdown Structures
- Developing, baselining and maintaining integrated project schedules across multiple project levels
- Ensuring alignment between scheduling systems and project financial and material demand toolsets
- Providing schedule analysis, status updates, performance metrics and critical path reporting to support project decision-making
- Producing resource and cost-loaded schedules that support integrated business planning and project performance management
This role is based in Glasgow, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working patterns are available.
Essential experience of the Senior Planner:
- Experience in project planning within an engineering, nuclear, defence, construction or major infrastructure environment is beneficial
- Using advanced scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to develop and maintain integrated schedules
- Managing project schedules throughout the full project lifecycle, from bid phase through to project close-out
- Applying quantitative risk analysis and schedule performance assessment techniques
Qualifications for the Senior Planner:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
